We will never ask for your password, PIN or one-time code

Not by phone, not by email, not by text. If someone claiming to be from the bank asks, end the conversation and call us on the number printed on your card.

How we protect you

Layered defences on every account

Encryption in transit

Every session is protected with 256-bit TLS encryption end to end.

Multi-factor authentication

One-time codes and biometric sign-in on supported devices.

Transaction PIN

A separate PIN authorises money movement, card reveals and profile changes.

Continuous monitoring

Behavioural analytics flag unusual activity before it settles.

Device management

Review and revoke every device that has signed in to your account.

Zero liability

Confirmed unauthorised card transactions are reimbursed in full.

Common scams

Know the warning signs

Impersonation calls

Someone calls claiming to be from the fraud team and asks you to move money to a "safe account". No bank will ever ask you to do this. Hang up and call the number on your card.

Phishing emails and texts

A message with an urgent deadline and a link to "verify" your account. Check the sender address, never tap the link, and reach online banking by typing the address yourself.

Payment redirection

An invoice arrives with changed bank details. Always confirm new payee details by phone using a number you already held — never one supplied in the email.

Romance and investment scams

Pressure to move quickly, guaranteed returns, or a request to keep the arrangement private. Genuine investments never require secrecy.

Refund and overpayment scams

You are told you have been overpaid and asked to return the difference. The original payment is usually reversed later, leaving you short.

If something looks wrong

What to do straight away

  • Freeze your card from online banking — it takes one tap
  • Change your password and transaction PIN
  • Review signed-in devices and revoke anything unfamiliar
  • Call us on the number printed on the back of your card
